Ikonic Technology Ltd – Export Control Policy


1. Policy Statement
Ikonic Ltd is committed to full compliance with all applicable UK export control laws, including the Export Control Act 2002 and Export Control Order 2008, as administered by the Export Control Joint Unit.
Ikonic will ensure that:

  • No controlled goods, software, or technology are exported without appropriate authorisation
  • All employees understand and comply with export control obligations
  • Compliance is embedded into business processes

 

2. Scope
This policy applies to:

  • All exports, re-exports, and transfers
  • All employees, contractors, and third parties
  • All products, including IT hardware, software, and technical data


3. Governance and Responsibility


3.1 Board Responsibility
The Board retains ultimate accountability for export compliance and ensures adequate resources.


3.2 Export Control Officer
A designated Export Control Officer is responsible for:

  • Compliance oversight
  • Licensing
  • Training and audits

 

4. Core Compliance Principles
Ikonic adopts the eight principles outlined in the ECO Compliance Code of Practice:

5. Policy Requirements
5.1 Product Classification
All goods must be assessed against UK control lists prior to sale/export.


5.2 Customer & Transaction Screening
All customers and transactions must be screened against sanctions and denied party lists.


5.3 Licensing
Exports requiring licences must not proceed without valid authorisation.


5.4 Record Keeping
Records must be retained for a minimum of 6 years.


5.5 Reporting
Any suspected breaches must be reported immediately to the Export Control Officer.

6. Non-Compliance
Failure to comply may result in:

  • Disciplinary action
  • Legal penalties
  • Revocation of export privileges


7. Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or upon regulatory change.
